It’s been a while since I wrote one of these blogs. It is mainly because I’ve been super busy with the game. Here are a few feature added last month.

I am happy to report that I have a Win 32 version (windows build) of the game working. It was kind of a bitch to port over and not have all the feature work correctly, but it’s finally alive!

Redesigned “going on dates” for the game. In the past, you could choose 6 date locations and on 2 of those locations, there would be a way to unlock the CG. The issue was the player would never explore other date locations once they found the 2 special locations. The new version has only 3 date locations. If you fail those 3 dates you get ‘friend zoned’; which means she will never date you again. One of those 3 dates has a CG and just by succeeding that date you will get a special scene that leads to the CG as well as levelling up. Once the player has levelled up to ‘girlfriend’, 3 more date locations open up and again one of those has a CG. I find this new method makes dates a one-time thing and also adds weight to failing a date.

Redesigned level select – in the past you could see all the planets and to travel to them you just selected them. I changed this because the number of icons on the screen after all the bosses were unlocked were too much and controller support just sucked. So now you fly around with your ship to each planet, kind of like “sunless sea”. I also add the combat zones to be actively patrolling the area so if you bump into them it activates the combat.
