This month I have been mainly focused on cleaning up my code base and making sure that some core features used the same architecture. The simple version is I had a few variations of “actions classes” that span across AI, items and object interactions. But, now I’ve made it so they all use the same base class and made the classes more independent from the object. The result will be easy weapon variations, more elaborate object interactions and cleaner AI.
I also hired 2 artists last month to do some work for the game. As a result, I have a new bar scene and environment tiles.
Riki-to is back as my character artist again because he did such a good job with the characters in Star Girls. He has already finished first of the six core side characters in the game and she looks awesome. (I’ll reveal the character in a later blog)
